  • Allentown Settles Property Dispute

    A dispute over blighted properties in Allentown is settled. It was based on the Colonial Theater's property value when it was condemned. The Mendelson Family Trust and the city agreed on a $50,000 settlement this week. The city will pay Mendelson $50,000 for the Colonial building.

  • Coroner Identifies Teen Killed in Late Night Shooting

    Gunfire continues to fly in Allentown. In the past week, several people have been shot...two people murdered. The latest killing happened late last night. A young man-- just 17--was shot on a city sidewalk and later died. WFMZ's Eve Tannery reports.
     

  • Mourners Gather as Philadelphia Police Sergeant is Laid to Rest

    Tears mixed with rain for a final farewell to one of Philadelphia's finest. Mourners gathered inside and outside the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul to honor Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski today. WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes was in Philadelphia for the funeral service.

  • Coroner Identifies Teen Murder Victim in Allentown

    The Lehigh County Coroner has identified the victim of a late night shooting last night in Allentown as 17-year-old Davine Law of Liberty Street. Police say the shooting happened around 10:30 last night in the 500 block of North New Street near Allen Street. Law was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury, where he died just after 11:00.

    High gas prices are not only hitting people on the street. People who get behind the wheel on the are feeling it too. Recreational boaters are having to decide whether being on the water is worth the price. WFMZ's Bo Koltnow reports.

  • Suspected Local Bank Robber Nabbed in Florida

    An accused Bethlehem bank robber is caught in Florida.  The Bethlehem Police Department was notified today that Peter Quarry was taken into custody this morning. Quarry is accused of robbing the Bank of America on Catasauqua road in Bethlehem in April.

  • Co-Worker of Murder Victim Arrested in Berks County

    Police have found the co-worker of a Lebanon County woman found dead in her car in Berks County over the weekend. Officials had been looking for Glenn Lyons as a person of interest in the murder of 45-year-old Kathy Leibig. Lyons was arrested on a parole violation yesterday.WFMZ's Melissa Batulis will have more tonight on 69 News at 5:30.

  • Man Walks into Hospital with Gunshot Wounds

    Police in Allentown say they are also looking into reports of a man walking into the hospital with gun shot wounds. Police say 21 year old Carlos Figueroa told investigators he was shot while standing on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of Court Street.
