Wilson Business Association - Discover Wilson!

Did you know that there are over 130 small businesses in Wilson Borough?  It's a fact!  Can you name more than six from memory?  How could they help your business grow?  Could you contribute to theirs?

The small businesses of Wilson have advantages over their ‘lifestyle mall' counterparts like superior customer service and small town charm, but in order to truly capitalize on these competitive advantages we need to work together to promote and improve on them. 

We want you to get involved with other local businesses in your Borough.  With your help we will establish a Wilson Business Owners Association that will be run by local businesses for local businesses with th e following goals:

• To increase awareness of all the businesses in Wilson Borough
• To provide you with a place to network and meet your fellow Wilson business owners
• To attract new businesses and create a viable mix of services and goods
• To assist and incubate new businesses and improve long standing ones
• To provide "strength in numbers" and a voice in local and regional government
• To offer suggestions and support for improving your business and your Borough
• To increase the pride we all share in the place we live and work

Join us.  We can help each other, and in the process help ourselves. There is a website, http://www.wilson2020.org/, which lists your neighboring businesses as well as describes the work that we are doing to create this important partnership for a sustainable business community in Wilson Borough.

We're having an open house on Thursday, September 27th at 6:00 PM at the Strausser Community Center, Liberty Street, Wilson Borough (next to Meuser Park), to discuss what each of us can do to help put our businesses and Wilson Borough on the map. Enjoy a few moments meeting your fellow business owners, and then help us define the next positive steps we can take to help each other and ourselves. (Refreshments will be served.)
